On behalf of the Board of Directors of Evergreen Fibreboard Berhad ("EFB" or "the Company"), we wish to announce that the Company had on 30 October 2006 acquire 2 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each representing 100% of the paid-up capital of Evergreen Fibreboard (JB) Sdn. Bhd. ("EJBSB") at a cash consideration of RM2.00 from Tan Yee Seong (IC No. 670326-01-5337) and Lim Ann Yi (IC No. 840412-01-5436).

Information on EJBSB
EJBSB (Company No. 751664-M) was incorporated on 30 October 2006 with its relevant information as follows: -
a) Authorised capital of RM100,000-00 comprising of 100,000 ordinary shares of RM1.00 each.
b) Paid-up capital is RM2.00.

Rationale
The acquisition of EJBSB is for future expansion of EFB Group.

Effect of Transactions
i.Share Capital
No effect on the issued and paid up share capital of EFB.

ii.Earnings and Net Assets ("NA")
No immediate material effect in the near future on the earnings and NA of the Group.

Directors' and Substantial Shareholders' Interest
None of the Directors and substantial shareholders of EFB has interest in the acquisition of EJBSB.

Approvals Required
The acquisition of EJBSB is not subject to the approval of shareholders' of EFB and other government authorities.
